On 5 May Royal Mail will release the third Prestige Stamp Book of 2022. See images below. Priced at £20.75 this book will include the newly released barcoded Machin stamps. The inclusion of the new stamps means that the book size has had to increase to 162mm x 100mm. Instead of the usual 162mm x 96mm.
All of the definitive stamps in pane 3 (DP610) have securiy codes of — / M22L. This means that the usual source code MPIL has not been used. The stamps and label are all self-adhesive.
The stamp panes
The stamp panes will contain the following stamp values:
- 4 x 1st class – Pane 1
- 2 x 1st class and 2 x £1.85 – Pane 2
- 2 x 50p and 3 x £1 – Pane 3. The Machin definitive pane.
- 6 x 1st class – Pane 4
